Implementation Process

The implementation of the MoniTwin system is a clear, step-by-step process aimed at creating and deploying a solution that aligns maximally with customer needs and creates business value. Below, we present the entire implementation process from initial consultation to the system's live operation.

01 Needs Assessment

The first phase of the process is a detailed needs assessment. In this phase, our experts become familiar with the company's operations, production or service processes, and existing IT infrastructure. We map out what data is currently being collected, what technologies (e.g., sensors, PLCs, ERP systems) are used, and what are the company-level goals: such as improving efficiency, reducing downtime, strengthening quality assurance, or enhancing decision support.

During the discussions, an preliminary on-site visit often takes place, where we also assess the data collection points and the production environment.

02 Indicative Quote

Based on the initial information, we prepare an indicative (informational) quote. This helps decision-makers to preliminarily assess the project's magnitude, expected costs, and return on investment potential. The indicative quote may include different package options and show what savings or business benefits can be achieved by implementing the system.

03 Specification and Needs Clarification

This phase involves the detailed elaboration of technical and business requirements. The goal is to compile a precise specification that covers:

  • data collection points (what data, from where, how often to collect)
  • company-specific configuration of MoniTwin functions
  • expected reports, alerts, and decision support functions
  • connection possibilities with existing systems (ERP, SCADA, MES, etc.)
  • user roles and their permissions
This specification forms the basis for further development and implementation, and thus concludes with mutual agreement and approval.

04 Final Quote and Implementation Plan

Based on the approved specification, we prepare the final quote, as well as a detailed implementation plan. This includes the project schedule (Gantt chart), milestones, delivery and development deadlines, and responsible parties. In addition, we define the necessary resources, tools, and expected collaboration points on the client side.

05 Contract Signing

After accepting the final offer and schedule, the parties sign a contract that specifies:

  • the project's framework conditions (delivery deadlines, payment schedule)
  • details of implementation and support services
  • rights and obligations regarding intellectual property and data security
  • any SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
  • and communication and collaboration rules to be applied during the project

06 Installation and Implementation

This phase involves the actual installation and deployment of the system. Depending on whether the system operates in a cloud-based or on-premise form, we install the necessary software components, data connectivity modules, and, if required, hardware devices (e.g., gateways, sensor interfaces).

During integration, MoniTwin is connected to the company's existing IT systems, be it PLC, ERP, MES, or other data sources.

07 Internal Test Operation

Before the system goes live, a closed test operation takes place. Here we check:

  • the correct data flow
  • the functioning of alerts and reports
  • the proper assignment of user permissions
  • and the system's response time and stability
The purpose of the test operation is fine-tuning, incorporating initial feedback, and final preparation of the system for the live environment.

08 Handover

Upon completion of testing, the MoniTwin system is officially handed over. During handover, the client receives documentation on settings, user manuals, report templates, and administration tasks. This is when the final joint inspection and approval take place.

09 Implementation Management

Even after handover, we do not leave our partners alone. In the post-implementation period, we provide support for:

  • user training (trainings, instructional videos, workshops)
  • support for daily operational functioning (helpdesk, consultation)
  • continuous optimization of the system (measurement, incorporation of new requirements)
This ensures that MoniTwin is not just a technological solution, but a long-term, sustainable competitive advantage for our clients.
